I was getting kind of into it, including finding a mysterious artifact deep underground, until I happened to activate the (optional?) dialog on the surface where the title of the game gets mentioned, and it just... ends? With no warning or way to avoid it or go back? Maybe that's the joke and there's no "true" ending, but it was *really* annoying and made the whole thing feel like a waste of time.
hey. Quick update to let you know that I have changed the end of the game to allow players to continue and discover everything. Should be better now :)
There's a glitch if you fall down too fast, you get stuck in the dirt. i don't have enough energy to dig anymore, and jetpack won't do anything. nice game though, too bad saving doesnt work yet and i have to restart my progress.
hi, I have published an update to prevent getting stuck in the dirt. Also, I made it more clear how to save in the windows version. Enjoy!
I just started playing, and when I tried going in full screen, the sound was gone, and it is now just a white line in the black void. Would suggest looking in the code for fullscreen, as something there (a rampant while true loop maybe) is crashing the game.
I can not say anything else of the game, as i haven't done anything yet (except that crash).
Thank you for your feedback, there is a bug in the web version. You just need to click on the screen when this happens and it should start the game.
That fixes the normal variations (the ones im getting now) but i had one where the game like reloaded, not full black (like the one where you need to click) but with the bar on it. I cant recreate the original bug, so i can't try it, but I think I pressed on the screen and everything, but it just stopped. Thank you for your comment, and for now it did fix it.
But im not sure about the wierd variation i had 3 days ago, as I don't know how to do it.
It could be a bug with the previous version. So if that was it, thank you for fixing it.
thank you for the update. I tweaked the html file. Hopefully it will not happen again
either the lore, dialogue, and game's description doesn't make sense because the dev did a poor job at it or all the text is AI
The main problem is that there is no quality control and that is always the case when people use AI. It's representative ofthe entire experience to some. Using AI then discredits and devalues the hard work you had done on your own without AI
I also don't know why this game was released multiple times.
writing is not my best skill. I used AI for the description and a part of the dialogue. I will update everything to write my own texts. The previous version can be ignored and will be removed.
Holy moly. More than anything, this needs some kind of settings options to turn the volume down. Getting my eardrums exploded by the music as soon as it opened with no way to lower the volume in game made the play experience pretty brutal.
thanks for the feedback. I will add sound control. In the mean time, I have lowered the volume.
update on my situation:
i did end up having to reload the page and restart all my progress but i managed to keep going, as i dug down for some reason it started to lag more and more, another issue that i saw someone pointed out as well is that its rather dificult to get back to the surface, maybe the adition of an alternative way to get up would be nice.
update 2:
i think the more things load the more i lag and i don't think ill be capable of finishing the game. I really enjoyed it doe. Maybe ill try it at another time.
Some suggestions:
Stronger lights
a way to get up when you run out of fuel
longer lasting jetpack fuel
and i think thats about it.
thanks for the feedback and updates. I have increased the intensity of the lights. Also, I have added several teleport doors to help going back to the surface. I have increased jet pack duration. The lag should also be fixed in the latest version. Please let me know if this is not the case.
1) Add a button to return to the top if you are stuck, the rescue fee is all the ores you have on you in that instant(in short a way to avoid being softlocked) .
2) Make the jetpack a bit faster as its pretty slow going up.
3) (if possible) a save system as to not lose the run if the game is restarted.
For now that's about it, as the image above shows this run seems to be over, ill atempt it again at another time. good luck with the game! bye.
Thank you very much for the details. I will do that to prevent soft locks and increase jetpack speed. There is a save system actually. But probably not visible enough. It should work on windows version. I will add autosave though. Thank you again
hello, I have published an update with teleport doors to go back to the top, a faster jetpack and a more visible save system (windows only)
Insanely frustrating to try and get back to the surface after digging. Jetpack uses fuel way too fast and upgrades give minimal benefit. I was softlocked multiple times by being stuck down a tunnel i had dug with no energy or fuel. It felt completely random whether I could spam jump and climb to the surface or remain stuck in a pit of my own making. If you would like players to be more aware of the paths they are digging for the return trip that is fine, but please implement something that can teleport you to the top for when players are stuck. Maybe have it cost money or you lose your inventory.
sorry for the frustration. That’s a very good idea for the teleportation. I will
Sorry for the frustration. I have added multiple teleportation doors to help going back to the surface.
I couldn't enter the 'stalactite cave' due to the invisible wall, and I'm not seeing anything else, the mayor hasn't come back or anything to deliver a title drop.
There's also some performance issues, especially when placing a lamp, and that in turns leads to a lot of tunneling issues, which could even cause a softlock if you're out of energy!
Lastly I think the music needs a pass through audacity to remove the high-pitched clipping, I had to mute it after a while, which is a shame as it's otherwise a pretty good track!
Otherwise it's got a pretty good gameplay loop, the art's nice, the music is generally nice, and hopefully you're able to iron out the issues!
there was a bug with the invisible wall. It is fixed now. Sorry about that. Performances issues have been fixed too.
Is there an official end? i am at the "stalectite cave" thing and there is a border that i can not penetrate....
Yes there is. You cannot miss it. If you reached the "stalectite cave", you are really close to it.
Tip: you do not need to dig further.
love it but how do i put review in this site ?
thanks for your comment. On mobile, you need to put your phone in landscape mode to see the “rate my game” button
i use pc
it should be in the top right corner below your nickname
damn it was literally in front of my eye
thank you very much for the rating. It is definitively not the most visible button on the page.
Insane drop FPS when finding the first cave with a lot of gems, high end pc gaming
Hey, thank you for the feedback. I have published an update. It is fixed now.
If you fall from a great height, the character gets deeply embedded in the rock, and in such a situation, the character may no longer be able to reach the surface. A game progress-saving option would be useful.
good point. It is effectively the case in some rare places. Saving is already implemented but I might add auto saving to help.
Please put space for jump, it's unplayable.
Hey, I have just published an update. Now you can use space to jump.
Very unsatisfying control scheme. There are lots of keys near WASD: E for interact, Q for alternative interact (or tool use), F, R, Tab... Also Esc is a key to turn fullscreen off, please don't use it in controls.
And it could be useful to teach players how to dig in your game. Just say 'point the shovel in direction of ground'.
Couldn't agree more. E for interact/collect, Space for jump. Please stick to the well established controls players got used to over the past decades.
Agreed. Thanks for your feedback. I have updated the control scheme. It should be better now
Hey Kazuto, thank you again for your feedback and rating. Now that I have updated the control scheme, would you please reconsider the rating you gave the game ? 🙏 That would help a lot
Done :)
Thank you very much for your feedback. I have updated the control scheme and added info about digging using arrows.
Much better now, thanks!
my pleasure :)
